Childbirth is a peak experience in our lives. No matter our age, we never forget our birth and we carry the feelings about our births throughout our life. It can be a powerful, life-changing event which is joyful and empowering. It can also, due to many reasons and circumstances, be disappointing and hurtful. It is good for us to share our birth stories, because through our sharing we can heal, and we can educate ourselves to allow and facilitate change to happen.
BIRTH is proud to be the Houston sponsor of a Red Tent Event – an opportunity for women and men to share their birth stories. This event is from 7:00 pm to 8:00p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2008 following the last performance of the BOLD play BIRTH written by Karen Brody on Sunday, September 14 at 2:00 pm at Hits Theater – 311 West 18th – in the Heights.
